CIFF TO SCREEN OSCAR-NOMINATED SHORTS OVER TWO WEEKENDS IN FEBRUARY
Adam Manery | CIFF Oscar Shorts | Press Release from the Calgary International Film Festival
The 2025 Academy Awards Oscar®-Nominated films have been announced, and selections from the 2024 Calgary International Film Festival (as part of CIFF’s First Look year-round series) received a total of 41 nominations. In celebration, CIFF will screen three Oscar®-Nominated shorts packages over two weekends—February 14–16, 2025, and February 21–23, 2025—at Globe Cinema.
“Oscar Shorts weekend is the best time to check off those last 15 films from your Oscars checklist. You can be the most knowledgeable person at your Oscar party,” said Adam Keresztes, CIFF’s Lead Shorts Programmer. “This year we are presenting over two weekends, so you have more flexibility and more chances to catch as many films as you can.”
